Primary responsibilities:
- Reports to Director of Fleet Maintenance
- Install/troubleshoot 12 volt and 24-volt electronics (cameras, GPS tracking, telematics, 2-way radios) on DATTCO and/or customer vehicles
- Accurately record and report information regarding installs/repairs
- Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions
- Position may require flexible shifts (weekends, overtime, and/or overnight)
- Position may require travel
- Responsible for ordering and controlling inventory levels
Minimum requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous 12v/24v installation and service experience
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of vehicle electronics concepts such as GPS, relays and video systems
- School bus/coach bus experience preferred
- Availability to work weekends/overnights/overtime as required
- Technician will be required to supply their own tools for this position
- Must possess the physical strength and conditioning to safely perform all required tasks
- Must possess excellent computer skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be a self-starter
